Over three decades in branding, storytelling and digital marketing I’ve seen too many organizations doing great work struggle with marketing because they couldn’t afford an agency or couldn’t wait months to hire additional staff.

That’s why I’m now on a mission to help nonprofits and purpose-driven brands bring their work to life by providing them with flexible, project-based marketing and communications support.

My own work has spanned consumer packaged goods, sports marketing, tech, climate change, racial equity, and gun violence prevention.

For the last 15+ years I’ve helped build and grow environmental and social justice nonprofit brands. Before that, I led brand and digital campaigns at adidas, then pivoted to product marketing at Yahoo!, and later, customer acquisition at the e-commerce start-up Motosport.com.

But it all started for me on Madison Ave, where I was a young ad guy working on campaigns for Unilever, Pfizer, and Procter & Gamble. Years later, I still draw on the fundamentals I learned from that classic consumer packaged goods training.

Today I live in Washington, DC with my wife, two children, and our dog. I prefer to repair rather than replace; bike instead of drive; and I do some of my best thinking while running in Rock Creek Park.

If I can help your team with brand strategy, storytelling, digital marketing or something else, please contact me and let’s talk about it.
